Beckendorff Farms Wedding | Cindy + Michael

Cindy & Michael were married on April 6th, 2019 at the gorgeous Beckendorff Farms in Katy, Texas. Rain was in the forecast leading up to their wedding & we were thrilled to see the sun come out, just in time for their outdoor ceremony.

Cindy’s longtime friend, Dr. Anirudh Kumar, officiated their ceremony. Dr. Kumar said that he thought Cindy was joking when she asked him to become an ordained minister to marry Cindy & Michael. He recounted stories he was told by Cindy & Michael’s closest friends & family, which made for a lighthearted & beautiful ceremony. Cindy & Michael brought everyone to tears with their personal vows.

One phrase comes to mind when I think of Cindy & Michael’s wedding reception: epic dancing! From the grand entrance by the bridal party, to the choreographed "Greatest Showman” routine; their reception was filled with epic dancing! Cindy & Michael changed into traditional Vietnamese gowns to greet their tables for the traditional envelope exchange. The tradition includes greeting each table & the table elects a person from the table to congratulate the couple & give them the envelopes (the gift to the couple).

Station 3 Wedding | Kelsey + Fabian

Kelsey & Fabian were married on March 23rd, 2019 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Houston, Texas. They held their reception at Station 3, a historic former fire station in downtown Houston. Kelsey & Fabian’s wedding planning journey was a whirlwind, filled with lots of family help. Kelsey was knee deep in her 2nd year medical residency work & also traveled to Africa during wedding planning. I’m not lying when I say Kelsey & Fabian’s wedding day was perfection from beginning to end. Every detail was executed masterfully & you could tell from the smiles on their faces that Kelsey & Fabian were overjoyed to finally, finally (after 13 years!) be husband & wife.

T h e    C e r e m o n y

The Deacon from Fabian’s home church, Gilbert Johnson, married Kelsey & Fabian in the beautiful Annunciation Catholic Church. The church just celebrated their 150 year anniversary & is a work of art! Deacon Gilbert spoke of the long courtship Kelsey & Fabian had & how their love has grown & matured, just as they have.

T h e    R e c e p t i o n

Guests traveled to Station 3 after the ceremony for Kelsey & Fabian’s reception. Guests were welcomed by delicious Hors d'oeuvres by City View Catering & lawn games in Station 3’s gorgeous courtyard. I need to take a minute to brag about Julia with Set in Stone events. She was the planner for Kelsey & Fabian’s wedding day & I’ve never seen a planner do such a wonderful job of staying on top of everything. You can tell when people love what they do because it shows in their work.

Fabian & his groomsmen entered into the reception by sliding down the fire pole. Kelsey & her bridesmaids took a safer, more dress friendly entrance & came down the industrial inspired staircase. Kelsey & Fabian went right into their first dance as husband & wife & they danced to “No Place” by Backstreet Boys. It was such a pretty, meaningful song to their journey together & I had no idea it was by Backstreet Boys until I just now looked it up. My inner 90’s girl heart is happy! Their guests were invited upstairs to eat dinner & the decor was out of this world. The bright floral arrangements designed by An Event Design were breathtaking. The florist, Tom Anderson, is actually Kelsey’s paternal uncle & he knocked it out of the park. Their wedding theme was all things travel & adventure & every single detail reflected that. Kelsey & Fabian have had many adventures together so far, but like her Dad said in his toast, their greatest adventure is just beginning… marriage!

The Gallery Wedding | Laura + Dave

Laura & Dave were married on March 16th, 2019 at The Gallery in Houston, Texas. The Gallery is a beautiful hidden gem of a venue. It was such a fun day celebrating the new Mr. & Mrs. Pitts!

T h e    C e r e m o n y

Dave & Laura’s pastor, Mark Poe, officiated their heartfelt ceremony. Jamie of JDesigns added touches of greenery & beautiful florals to the outdoor ceremony space. The couple chose to have a live harpist play as guests arrived & during the processional & it set the mood for the sweet & meaningful ceremony. Pastor Mark Poe shared words of wisdom on how to treat your spouse: telling them that you love them everyday & saying you’re sorry when you make a mistake. We always take away something from each & every ceremony we film & Laura & Dave’s ceremony was no exception. The wedding party ended the ceremony with confetti high fives before going down the aisle & it was the cutest thing.

T h e    R e c e p t i o n

The Gallery’s reception space is quaint & makes it easy for guests to mingle with one another & still be close to the dance floor action. Laura & Dave shared a special first dance beneath market lights strung over the dance floor. Dave also shared a first dance with their daughter Kylie. Dave’s Best Man, Austin, gave a reminiscing toast on their memories of growing up together. Laura’s Matron of Honor, Lacy, shared memories of her friendship with Laura & well wishes for the couple on their next big adventure: marriage!

The Springs- Magnolia Manor Wedding | Lauren + Jason

Lauren & Jason were married on February 7th, 2019 at The Springs- Magnolia Manor in Angleton, Texas. Lauren & Jason’s love & silliness with each other kept us laughing all day. Jason tells THE best Dad jokes & Lauren’s sweet demeanor towards Jason is what love is all about.

A few weeks before their wedding, Lauren & Jason’s Best Man, Mikey, passed away unexpectedly. Mikey has been a close friend (but more like family) since Jason was a child. Mikey’s Dad, Mike Senior, stood in Mikey’s place as honorary Best Man.

T h e    C e r e m o n y

About an hour before Lauren & Jason’s outdoor ceremony was set to begin, a huge rainstorm poured down. Lauren & Jason shared with us later during the reception that they asked their late Best Man, Mikey, to just let it not rain for their outdoor ceremony. The rainstorm passed quickly & the team with K & A Artistic Events quickly got to work drying off chairs & setting up for the outdoor ceremony. Moments leading up to when Lauren walked down the aisle, I begin to feel a few raindrops. As soon as the music began & she started walking down the aisle, I never felt another rain drop the entire ceremony. It was one of those moments that give you goosebumps because Mikey was, without a doubt, there with us as Lauren & Jason exchanged their vows: watching over them & cheering them on as they became husband & wife.

Judge Jack Brown of Brazoria County officiated Lauren & Jason’s ceremony & made it so special for not only them, but all of their guests. Lauren & Jason chose to pour dirt from each of their childhood homes into a Magnolia tree , which they will plant at their home, in place of a unity cross or sand ceremony, which we thought was so unique & different from what we usually see.

T h e    R e c e p t i o n

The reception space was adorned with beautiful florals, linens, & decor by K & A Artistic Events & the prettiest cake we’ve ever seen by Let There Be Cake. It was blue with gold foil! Lauren & Jason made a point to walk around & thank each of their wedding guests for joining them in their special day. For their private last dance, Lauren & Jason escaped to the outdoor gazebo where their ceremony took place. It was chilly but they didn’t let that stop them from sharing the special moment together.

Beckendorff Farms Wedding | Miranda + Clay

Upon first meeting with Clay & Miranda, I knew their wedding was going to be one for the books. They have the sweetest demeanor with one another & hearts of gold. Their wedding was held at the beautiful & breathtaking Beckendorff Farms in Katy, Texas.

T h e    C e r e m o n y

Mike Wesack, Miranda’s uncle, officiated their memorable ceremony. Clay had tears streaming down his face as his bride walked down the aisle & every single person in the room was smiling and crying right along with him! It was a movie-worthy moment. Miranda & Clay exchanged traditional vows & Mike shared some insight on what commitment means.

T h e    R e c e p t i o n

The reception was held in Beckendorff Farm’s barn. The barn was originally built in Ohio and was dismantled & shipped to Katy, where it was re-built. Talk about history! With florals from F. Dellit Designs & lines & table flatware from Cafe Natalie, the space was brought to life & absolutely gorgeous. DJ Dave Productions kept the dance floor full all night & the food from Cafe Natalie was to die for. You really can’t go wrong with Cafe Natalie! Clay’s brother, Cody, gave a heartfelt & sentimental toast to the newlyweds. Miranda’s sister, Maddie, shared a funny story about how she knew Clay & Miranda were meant to be. Both toasts are featured in the highlight film, so be sure to watch it above.

Ashton Gardens West Wedding | Lindsey + Sean

Lindsey & Sean’s wedding was overflowing with so much love & support from friends & family. Their ceremony & reception were both filled to capacity & you could tell how elated everyone was to be there with Lindsey & Sean, celebrating them tying the knot.

T h e    C e r e m o n y

Lindsey & Sean’s friend, JohnMark Gates, officiated their candlelight wedding ceremony at Ashton Gardens West. The couple exchanged traditional vows, lit a unity candle, & took communion together. A few times during the ceremony, I looked out at their guests & each time, all of their guests had big smiles on their faces. You could tell that Lindsey & Sean’s wedding was highly anticipated by all of their friends & family. Since their wedding was so close to Christmas, it was only proper that they hung mistletoe above the entry door. Lindsey & Sean stopped underneath it for a kiss as they exited their ceremony. It was such a sweet moment!

T h e    R e c e p t i o n

Like I said before, Lindsey & Sean filled their reception space to the brim! Ashton Gardens has an extremely large ballroom & not a seat was empty. Lindsey & Sean spent a lot of their time during the reception walking around & talking to their guests, which I thought was so sweet of them. Their DJ, JPL Entertainment, kept the dance floor full of guests all night. The couple was sent off by their guests with sparklers & they drove off in Lindsey’s late Grandfather’s first generation Corvette.

The Springs Katy- Tuscany Hall Wedding | Daniela + Spencer

Daniela & Spencer were married on December 15th, 2018 at The Springs- Tuscany Hall in Katy, Texas. Daniela & Spencer have the sweetest personalities & witnessing their fairytale love was such a joy for us. Daniela & Spencer met each other their freshman year at Texas A&M University. They have that kind of story you’d see in a movie. Spencer bravely asked Daniela to be his girlfriend during a Chemistry class powerpoint presentation filled with 300 students.

T h e    C e r e m o n y

Dr. Clifford Hite officiated their outdoor ceremony at the gorgeous Tuscany Hall. This is December in Texas, y’all! Sunny skies, green grass, & the flower girl wearing sandals. Spencer’s reaction as Daniela walked down the aisle was priceless. Daniela & Spencer exchanged traditional vows & assembled a unity cross. Seeing the way Spencer looked at Daniela & vice versa throughout their ceremony was so special to witness.

T h e    R e c e p t i o n

The newlyweds had the party to end all parties to celebrate their marriage. One of my favorite parts of the reception is when the couple have their first dance & their parent dances. It felt like time stopped during Daniela’s dances with her Father & Step Father. The same can be said for Spencer’s dance with his mother. You can tell how important family is to each of them & that’s such a treasure to see.

Spencer’s brother, Matthew, gave a toast that had everyone laughing & Daniela’s Maid of Honor gave an equally compelling toast about how much her & Daniela’s friendship means to her. Spencer being in the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M, it felt only right that he & Daniela cut their wedding cake with none other than a Saber. The newlyweds were sent off with a plethora of bubbles & well wishes from their guests. It was a night we know they will cherish forever.

The Springs- Magnolia Manor Wedding | Taylor + Dakota

Taylor & Dakota were married on November 25th, 2018 at The Springs- Magnolia Manor in Angleton, Texas. I was crying pretty much off and on the entire time I was editing together their highlight film because their love is one for the books! The way Dakota looked at Taylor throughout their wedding day & continually referred to Taylor as his best friend was simply beautiful.

T h e    C e r e m o n y

Taylor & Dakota’s ceremony was filled with so many heartfelt, special moments. Taylor & Dakota’s pastor, Welby, officiated their ceremony. They exchanged personal, tear jerking vows that ended with their guests clapping (they were that good!). One of the many reasons I love being a wedding videographer is that I get to witness first hand the amazing love between our couples. As Taylor & Dakota assembled their unity cross & pastor Welby prayed over their marriage, Dakota’s brother, Trace, & Kristen, Welby’s wife, sang a beautiful worship song. When I was meeting with Taylor & Dakota in preparation for their wedding day, they said that they wanted to have the worship song as a part of their ceremony so they & their guests could stop & really soak in what this wedding & marriage is all about.

T h e    R e c e p t i o n

The reception space at Magnolia Manor is breathtakingly beautiful. Brandi with Laced with Grace orchestrated the gorgeous set-up with help with the florist and rental/linen vendors. Taylor & Dakota had around 240 guests so the space was filled to the brim with family & friends! The caterers, On the River, were actually the caterers at Taylor’s parents wedding many years ago. The night ended with Taylor & Dakota driving away in a vintage Cadillac. It was a remarkable wedding day for Taylor & Dakota!
